What is the difference between a wig install, quick weave and sew-in?
A wig install secures and finishes a wig unit. A quick weave places wefts onto a protected cap or foundation for a shorter-term installed look. A sew-in attaches wefts to a braided foundation with thread. The right choice depends on the unit or bundles you own, desired wear time and styling goal.
How long do installs usually last?
Typical wear differs by method. Wig installs and quick weaves are generally shorter-term than sew-ins, while sew-ins are often worn for several weeks. Adhesive, scalp oil, sweating, hair growth and aftercare all change the real wear time, so confirm the exact method before planning around an event or trip.
Do I need to bring my own wig, bundles or closure?
Do not assume what is included. Before the appointment, confirm the exact unit or hair needed, the quantity, length, closure or frontal requirements, and whether the hair should arrive washed, customised or ready to install.
Protective styling should not mean painful styling.
If braids, cornrows, locs, weaves or extensions feel painfully tight, cause persistent stinging or visibly pull the hairline, speak up. The American Academy of Dermatology warns that repeated tension can contribute to traction alopecia.
